Educational Programs Mission

The Educational Programs of the Cleveland Council on World Affairs Council seeks to educate students and teachers on how global issues affect their lives by helping them gain a critical understanding of important, international topics; and empowering them to become informed, independent thinkers about world affairs.

2009 Objectives
  • Provide a global perspective for teachers and students
  • Provide educational opportunities for students to learn about global issues through interactive programs both on and off campus
  • Conduct professional development programs for teachers and provide them with current resources
  • Develop and present teacher mini workshops on China and other countries
  • Assist schools with international education
  • Improve and increase attendance at all events
  • Standardize the collegiate intern program

Educator and Student Membership ($25 reduced rate)
The Council is an excellent way to enhance your knowledge about international affairs offering a regular selection programs per year. Whether you prefer early morning breakfasts, luncheons, or evening forums, the Council provides a wide array of events throughout the Cleveland area.
