Cleveland Council on World Affairs

Young Professionals

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs Young Professionals program was created to engage young, internationally-minded professionals in the Council’s activities. YP events provide an interesting social environment for younger members to discuss world events and international policies. Open to all Council members 40 years of age and under, Young Professional programs are especially designed to provide an informal forum for lively discussion and networking. Our young professionals come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds and they bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the group, learning together and exchanging experiences. The first Wednesday of every month, the YPs meet at a different ethnic restaurant for a social evening. During the year, YP Great Decisions discussions are held in different locations with speakers and topics that range from Energy and the Global Economy to International Human Rights. The YP annual Passport party in June is always a great success, with lots of interesting people and delicious food from all over the world.
