Event begins at 6:15 PM, Doors open 5:45 PM
The Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations (CCFR) is exclusive to Diplomat and Ambassador members and their guests.
The United States faces a rapidly evolving geopolitical and security landscape that demands a refocusing of the U.S. defense agenda. The rise of artificial intelligence and advanced cyber technologies has greatly changed geopolitical calculations, particularly in regard to competition with China. The ability to harness artificial intelligence is critically important for protecting U.S. interests at home and abroad. How has the emergence of artificial intelligence altered the nature of threats to national security? How must the U.S. military and defense industry adapt and modernize to meet these threats?
CCFR is honored to host Melanie Sisson, senior fellow in the Strobe Talbott Center for Security, Strategy, and Technology at The Brookings Institution, to discuss the growing importance of artificial intelligence and other advanced technology, specifically as it relates to technological competition between the U.S. and China.
The Cleveland Committee on Foreign Relations is a dinner and dialogue series that provides unparalleled access to top experts and diplomats for candid discussions of today’s most pressing international issues. Participation is exclusive to Diplomat and Ambassador members and their guests.
